No Plea Deals this month
Sequeira’s bond reduced
Though Plea agreements were not reached in the 38th Judicial District court held November 14 in the Real County Courthouse, a plea deal is under consideration in the case of Ismael Norberto Chapa, Jr. aka Tony Chapa. Charged with Sexual Assault, 2nd degree. Chapa is represented by Vanderpool attorney, David Black. His case was reset to December 19.
A Continuance Motion was filed on behalf of James Allen Taylor, represented by Emmett Harris. Taylor was arrested last year on a burglary and theft charge.
A plea offer was presented to Estrellita H. Falcon aka Star Falcon arrested on a forgery charge. Her case was reset to January. Out on bond, she was ordered to report weekly.
There could be a jury trial set in the case of Maximiano Alvarez, Jr. Charged with theft, this case was reset to December 19.
Ty Lofstrom, represented by Harold Danford, will have his theft case reset to December 19. Mark Sligh, charged with Indecency with a Child filed a Motion for Continuance. He is represented by Emmett Harris. The case of Edward Dow Lemon, arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance, was rescheduled to the January docket due to an attorney scheduling conflict.
Jerry Sequeira was in Real County custody following a probation violation after he was arrested in Leakey by federal drug agents. He was held without bond pending an agreement and was later released to the custody of Sheriff Brice. Real County bond was set at $50,000 but reduced to $10,000 when it was determined he was not a threat to the community and could not afford the bond amount. Sequeira made bond and was released. He is represented by Rogelio M. Munoz. His initial charge was drug related. |
